Move over Aurora Borealis, Aurora Australis is here. That’s right, it’s prime Southern Lights viewing season. The Aurora Australis is very similar to the Northern Lights, they just take place in the Southern Hemisphere.
The stunning and colorful lights are caused by charged particles from the sun that interact with Earth’s magnetic field.
The celestial phenomenon is most visible in Australia, New Zealand, Antarctica, and southern-most parts of South America. Enjoy!
