Along with so many other facets of the NFL, the Most Valuable Player Award is completely rigged.
In the 58 MVP awards that have been dished out, 39 of the winners have been quarterbacks, 16 were running backs, 2 were defensive players, and (surprisingly) one was a kicker.
Since 2006, the only non-QB to take home the hardware was TEN YEARS AGO when Adrian Peterson won after his remarkable 2012 season.
