Why do cats watch you poop?

If you’ve got a cat, then you probably haven’t relieved yourself in peace since before you brought home your little bundle of joy. The moment your cheeks kiss porcelain, your cat is brushing up against your leg. Or gazing into the very depths of your soul. Or, if you managed to close the door first, she’ll stick a paw under the door or claw at it incessantly. What gives? Why do those little freaks like to watch us poop so much?
